Thomas Heard

Thomas Heard is a Senior Exploration Geoscientist at Shell, with 17 years of experience in exploration geoscience and clastic stratigraphy, having worked for major oil companies including BP, Chevron, and Shell. They have specialized in interpreting deepwater clastics in core and image logs, seismic sequence stratigraphy, and prospect generation, with significant experience across various basins such as the Gulf of Mexico and deep-water Nigeria. Thomas earned a BSc with First Class Honors in Geology from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in Geology from UCL.
