Tim Durkin

Tim Durkin possesses extensive experience in naval architecture and LNG carrier construction, serving in various leadership roles primarily focused on Cargo Containment Systems. Between January 2018 and October 2021, Tim led teams of inspectors at Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd, overseeing the construction of multiple LNG carriers that utilized the innovative GTT NO96 L03+ Cargo Containment System at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai, China. Prior work at Shell involved providing structural advice and plan approvals for LNG carriers, alongside roles assessing ship quality and assurance. Tim began a career in ship surveying at Lloyd's Register, culminating in significant contributions to classification and statutory surveys across diverse ship types. Tim holds a degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering from The University of Glasgow.
