Wassim Maktouf

Wassim Maktouf, PhD, CEng MIMechE, PMP®, is a Senior Mechanical (Static) Engineer currently employed at Shell, where they lead efforts in the rehabilitation and development of Basrah Gas Processing Facilities. Previously, Wassim served as Lead Mechanical Engineer at BG Group, managing the Mechanical Engineering Section and overseeing critical projects in Tunisia. With a diverse background in mechanical engineering, Wassim has successfully contributed to major projects in various roles, including project lead for the Karachaganak Gas Debottlenecking Project while seconded to KPO in Kazakhstan. Wassim holds a BSc in Engineering, an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a PhD in Materials Engineering from the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Sfax.
