William Kitchen

William Kitchen is an experienced Merchant Deck Officer currently serving with Shell since October 2016, where responsibilities include acting as the Navigational Officer and overseeing the safe loading and discharging of Liquefied Natural Gas aboard the fleet. Previously, William worked at BP from August 2013 to August 2016, ensuring safe navigation and adherence to HSE principles during cargo operations. Prior experience includes serving as a 3rd Officer at Saudi Aramco from April 2012 to June 2013, with significant sea time on the company’s VLCC fleet, and as a Deck Cadet at Clyde Marine Training Ltd from August 2008 to December 2011, supported through a cadetship while gaining extensive industry knowledge. William holds an HND in Nautical Science from South Tyneside Maritime College, completed in 2011.
