Xianping (Sean) Wu is an accomplished professional in the oil and gas industry with a strong focus on drilling engineering and low carbon solutions. Currently serving as the Joint Venture Lead for Low Carbon Solutions at Shell since April 2012, Xianping has successfully led the formation and execution of joint ventures across multiple regions, enhancing profitability and strategic partnerships. Previously, Xianping held roles as Digital Product Owner and Senior Drilling Engineer, championing digital solutions for well design, and as Staff Well Engineer, where extensive training for global drilling teams was developed. Prior experience includes serving as Engineering Manager at Schlumberger, overseeing a diverse client portfolio and enhancing industry reputation, as well as Engineering Advisor, contributing to advanced drilling dynamics software. Earlier in the career at ExxonMobil, Xianping conducted research in rock mechanics and drilling efficiency. Xianping holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Drexel University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.
