Yuan Qiu

Yuan Qiu is a Senior Petroleum Engineer at Shell, where they focus on developing workflows for in-well fiber optics' interpretations. They previously held positions as a Senior and Junior Reservoir Engineer at Shell, contributing to various projects such as reservoir simulations and water injection modeling. Yuan has extensive experience in reservoir and facilities management, overseeing critical aspects of oil and gas production. They earned a B.S. in Geology from Peking University, a Master's degree in Applied Geophysics from China University of Mining & Technology, Beijing, and a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to their role at Shell, Yuan was a Lecturer and Researcher at China University of Mining & Technology, Beijing.
