The Shelley Glover Foundation (SGF) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization established by family and friends in 2004 following Shelley’s tragic death in a U.S. Ski Team training accident. Shelley Glover was an extraordinary athlete, amazing friend, collaborative, humble, and a pure joy to be around. She chased her dreams with an unwavering passion and commitment, and did so with humility and a profound compassion for others. We will no longer see her footsteps on that path. But, like so many others before her, her light still shines so that others can see the way.

So, this is really not just about Shelley’s story. It is also about those who will go on, those who will continue to inspire us all. It is about dreams and how they become real. It is about taking the tragic events in life and creating something beautiful in their wake.

There are, and will be, events and funds and committees making plans. That will also be a part of Shelley’s continuing story, but those things are not the sole purpose of this endeavor. This will be a profoundly personal space, ours and yours. We hope that people will find that this is a place to regain perspective, hope and commitment – a place to be inspired.
