Stephen Scharf

Stephen Scharf is a Managing Director and Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at BlackRock, bringing over 25 years of experience in information technology, cyber security, and risk management. Previously, Stephen held leadership roles at Experian and DTCC, where they built comprehensive security organizations and reported directly to executive management and Boards of Directors. They have also served on several boards, including the Cloud Security Alliance and the Analysis and Resilience Center for Systemic Risk, and currently lecture at NYU Stern School of Business. Stephen's career is characterized by a strong ability to align security initiatives with business needs while managing complex regulatory environments.
