Peter Longley

Peter Longley has extensive work experience in IT management roles. Peter started their career in 1994 as an IT Manager at Hornagold & Hills, where they managed a team of 25 PC users and handled various tasks, including document management and graphical design. Following this, they worked as a Computer Support Technician at Holdsure Motor Policies, where they replaced terminals with LAN PCs for 70 users. Peter then joined Elliott Sloane Ltd as a Technical Support Manager, responsible for managing a LAN with 50 PC users and overseeing document management projects.

In 2001, Peter became the IT Manager at West Ham United Football Club, where they managed a tight budget and ensured the high availability of systems. Peter also handled the department's policies and procedures, as well as disaster recovery efforts. In 2010, they moved to Employer Services (now part of RSM UK) as an IT Manager, where they managed local computer systems and the datacenter environment. Peter played a key role in migrating to a datacenter and enhancing the facilities offered to clients.

Since 2016, Peter has been working at Momenta Operations as the Head of IT & Infrastructure, responsible for establishing and managing a well-run IT department. Peter successfully set up robust service strategies, frameworks, and policies, and defined KPIs and SLAs. Peter also provided technical support to both internal staff and external workers.

Most recently, Peter is set to join Sheridans in 2023 as Head of IT, where they will continue to utilize their expertise in the field.

Peter Longley's education history includes a GCSE degree from St Nicholas Secondary School, which they obtained between the years 1988 and 1993. Peter then pursued further education at Basildon ITEC, where they earned an NVQ Level 3 degree in IT from 1993 to 1994.

In addition to their formal education, Peter Longley has obtained several certifications. In June 2016, they received the ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. More recently, in July 2023, they completed courses such as "Career Essentials in Generative AI" by Microsoft and LinkedIn, "Generative AI: The Evolution of Thoughtful Online Search" by LinkedIn, and "What Is Generative AI?" by LinkedIn.
