Alex Burtness

Alex Burtness has had a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer in the US Navy. In 2017, they transitioned to a role as Director of Technical Program Management at Brain Corp. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Shield AI as the Director of Product Management.

Alex Burtness has a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering (Honors and Distinction) from the United States Naval Academy, which they obtained between the years 2006 and 2010. Alex also holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, which they earned from 2009 to 2011. In addition, Alex Burtness has obtained certifications in Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and Project Management Professional (PMP) from Scrum Alliance and Project Management Institute, respectively.
