Billy Pate is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Shield AI since September 2023, Pate previously held significant roles such as Senior Director of Engineering at CAE from July 2021 to July 2023 and at L3Harris Military Training Sector from July 2016 to December 2021. Prior to this, Pate was the VP of Engineering at L-3 Unmanned Systems between January 2012 and July 2016. Pate holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering, both obtained from Texas A&M University.
