Chip Burkhalter

Chip Burkhalter is Shield AI’s Head of Government Affairs. Chip brings an extensive background in technology, national security, and advocacy. Chip has led government affairs efforts for multiple organizations, most recently leading Capitol Hill engagement for Palantir Technologies and serving as Palantir's senior lobbyist. Chip also served as a senior operations officer and leader in the Central Intelligence Agency for 10 years, spending 7 years overseas including one year in Iraq. Chip obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont.
