Simon Acker is an accomplished electrical engineer with a strong background in both leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as Electrical Engineer II at Shield AI since October 2022, Simon previously held positions within the Stanford Solar Car Project as Electrical Engineering Team Lead and Electrical Engineer, contributing to the design and testing of solar-powered electric vehicles for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. Simon has experience with Hacking for Defense, where extensive interviews and product iterations were conducted to enhance combat search and rescue capabilities. Notably, Simon was also an engineer and entrepreneur at Shorecrest Connect, developing award-winning applications, including a Congressional App Challenge winner. Simon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, completed in 2021, and has a history of independent app development with significant user engagement.
