Carl Masri

Software Development Manager at Shift

Carl Masri started their career in 2015 as a Technical Specialist at the Office of the Registrar, University of Victoria. In this role, they were responsible for managing the university's online academic calendar production, including design, development, and maintenance. Carl also set up an automatic generation system to streamline the production process and managed the course database.

In 2016, Carl worked as a Front-End Web Developer at the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium. During this time, they utilized the React.js library to refactor an existing JavaScript GIS mapping application and employed the Docker platform to automate and mobilize development environments.

In 2017, Carl joined AVST as a Software Engineer for a short period from May to August. Carl then worked as a Software Developer for a few months before joining Rooof in October as a Software Engineer. At Rooof, Carl served in this role until December 2020.

Starting in December 2020, Carl joined Shift as a Senior Developer.

Carl Masri completed an Associate's Degree in Psychology from Camosun College between 2009 and 2012. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, which they successfully obtained between 2013 and 2017.
