V Starks

Fellow: Web Archiving School

V Starks is a cultural worker, interdisciplinary artist, and creative facilitator dedicated to fostering community archiving and memory work. They graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a degree in Africana Studies and are currently pursuing a Master's in Library and Information Science with a focus on Archival Studies at the University of Alabama. As a documentarian for the Southern Memory Workers Collaborative, V works to support community archive initiatives across the South while also serving as a social media and communications specialist at Health Justice Commons. Their extensive experience includes roles in filmmaking, community organizing, and participation in various fellowships focusing on trans equity and web archiving.
