Ranga Fernando

Ranga Fernando has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Ranga is currently employed as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Shift since September 2021. Prior to this, Ranga worked as a Senior Software Developer at Export Finance Australia from April 2019 to September 2021. From April 2015 to April 2019, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Octet Finance. Ranga also worked as a Technical Lead for PocketMobile Communications AB in Sweden, as well as Effortel SA in Belgium, through offshore positions at TIQRI and Content Management and Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, respectively. Ranga started their career as a Solutions Designer at John Keells Computer Services (JKCS) from June 2006 to October 2008.

Ranga Fernando completed their education at Sheffield Hallam University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Masters in Enterprise Application Development with a focus on Software Engineering. Prior to this, from 2003 to 2009, they attended BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, where they earned a Professional Graduate Diploma in Information Technology. Additionally, Ranga has acquired several certifications, including "Developing a Critical Thinking Mindset" and "Software Architecture: Breaking a Monolith into Microservices" from LinkedIn in August 2021. Ranga also holds certifications from Microsoft, such as "MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional," "MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3," and "MCSD: Web Applications," obtained in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
