Austin Jester

Austin Jester is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aviation and project management. Currently serving as a Defense Ventures Fellow at Shift since September 2022, Austin participates in an 8-week program that connects military innovators with technology startups. As a C-5M Pilot and Chief of Tactics in the United States Air Force since July 2021, responsibilities include leading aircrews on international missions while ensuring safety and operational effectiveness of the aircraft. Previously, Austin held roles as a T-1A Instructor and Flight Commander, managing a significant training program, and as an EC-130H Navigator, playing a crucial role in combat operations. Early career experience includes serving as a Project Manager at Genesis10, overseeing the implementation of the Home Affordability Refinance Program application. Austin Jester holds a degree in Business and Marketing Education from the University of Minnesota.
