Haiyang Sun

Haiyang Sun is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in developing AI solutions, particularly in the insurance sector across the APAC region. Since May 2019, as the Lead Data Scientist at Shift Technology, Haiyang has successfully managed a team to execute various projects, including fraud detection model development and complex data processing pipelines. Prior roles include Senior Data Scientist, where Haiyang constructed NLP models for analyzing road accident reports, and as a Data Scientist, where trend analysis and anomaly detection models were engineered to identify fraudulent activities for a leading health insurer. Earlier experience includes a data science internship at Singapore Management University and a role as a Regional Operations Associate at Shopee. Haiyang holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and a Master's Degree in IT in Business with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Singapore Management University.
