Clete Brewer

Clete Brewer is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of NewRoad Capital Partners. In addition to his role at Shiftboard, he also serves on the boards of several of NewRoad Capital Partners’ portfolio companies, and the Executive Advisory Board at the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.

Clete brings 25 years of operator experience leading several successful startups and publicly traded companies. He has led two IPOs and raised almost $400 million in public and private financing. Clete was formerly president and co-owner of Sport Clips, Inc. During his tenure, Sport Clips grew from 42 franchised stores to over 675 with revenues of over $250 million. Prior to Sports Clips, Clete was the co-founder of Staffmark and served as President, CEO, and Chairman. Under his leadership, the company grew from $600,000 in sales to over $1.2 billion in 12 years. Clete graduated from the Walton College of Business in 1987 with a BSBA in finance.
