Laura Rillera

Laura (Lala) Rillera has a diverse range of work experience in design, starting with their current role as VP of Design at shiftkey since September 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Design at shiftkey from May 2021. Before joining shiftkey, Laura worked as a Lead Creative Strategist at shiftkey from October 2020 to May 2021. Laura (Lala) also has experience as a Sr. UX Designer at shiftkey, where they created impactful design solutions in the med-tech field. Additionally, Laura has worked as a Senior Interaction Designer at argodesign from June 2015 to June 2019 and as an Interaction Designer at Chaotic Moon Studios from March 2013 to June 2015. Laura (Lala) also has experience as the Owner and Design Consultant at rara Design Studio from January 2012 to February 2013. Prior to that, Laura volunteered as an Art Teacher for the Preventative Counseling Program at Ala Wai Elementary School. Laura (Lala) has also worked as a Graphic Designer at Archinoetics, LLC and Chaminade University, and as an Administrative Assistant at Cornell University.

Laura (Lala) Rillera attended Tompkins Cortland Community College from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained an A.S. degree in Graphic Design and Liberal Arts - Social Sciences. From 2005 to 2008, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Interior Design and Communication at Chaminade University of Honolulu.
