John Lenton

John Lenton has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. John is currently a Staff Engineer at ShiftLeft, Inc. since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer at ShiftLeft from January 2021 to April 2022. John has also served as the Owner of Chipaca Ltd since December 2020.

Before their current roles, John worked in various positions at Canonical, starting as a Web Developer for Online Services in November 2008. John then held roles such as Senior Engineer, Engineering Manager, Pastamancer, and Senior Engineering Manager for Online Services. Additionally, they served as an Engineering Manager for the Desktop+ team, working on different projects related to Ubuntu One.

Furthermore, John has been involved with the Free Software Community since January 1993 as a developer. John has also worked as the Treasurer of Fundación Vía Libre from March 2006 to January 2011 and as a Consultant for the Ministerio de Economía from 2001 to 2002.
