Shine Music is a nonprofit organization redefining what live music can be when accessibility is treated as a foundation rather than an afterthought. Founded by accessibility advocate Shawn Satterfield, Shine creates barrier-free music experiences where people of all abilities can fully participate, connect, and belong. Through inclusive event design, accessible technology, community partnerships, and advocacy, Shine demonstrates that live music can be powerful, welcoming, and truly universal.

Best known for the annual Shine Music Festival, the organization has built trusted relationships with dozens of disability-serving organizations while pioneering practical solutions that make concerts more inclusive for everyone. Shine’s work spans accessible event production, artist collaboration, community engagement, and the development of innovative accessibility tools that expand how people experience music.

At its core, Shine Music believes accessibility is not simply a compliance issue. It is a creative opportunity to build richer cultural experiences and stronger communities. By bringing together artists, technologists, advocates, and audiences, Shine is helping shape a future where live music belongs to everyone.
