Mike Philipps

Mike Philipps is an experienced Mechanical Designer with a diverse background in various engineering roles. Currently employed at SHINE Technologies since September 2017, Mike specializes in designing smaller assemblies, creating detailed drawings, and engaging in FEA, 3D printing, inspection, and welding. Prior experience includes Mechanical Designer positions at Thermal Spray Technologies, where custom spray fixtures were designed, and at The Scharine Group, where carts and racks for industrial parts delivery were developed. Mike's earlier career involved designing small automated projects and general machine design at Automation Plus and extensive welding and fabrication work across multiple industries from 1983 to 2004. Mike holds an Associates Degree in Mechanical Design from MATC Madison, obtained between 2004 and 2006.
