Malcolm Smith has over 25 years of work experience in sales, business development, and management. In 1995, they began working as an Alliances Manager and Sales Manager for Oracle Corporation in EMEA (Israel). In 1999, they became the Director of Business Development for Bitlocker, Inc. and in 2000, they joined Nuance Communications as the Global Alliances Sales Manager. In 2006, Malcolm co-founded Palore, where they were the Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Malcolm was responsible for identifying prospects and closing deals, building out sales and business development teams, and raising capital from angel investors. In 2011, Malcolm started and ran local search and online coupon services at Trakad/Promolo as the Co-Founder. In 2012, they joined DemandCue as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Malcolm was responsible for all sales and business development initiatives at the early-stage data analytics company. In 2016, they became the Managing Partner and Investor-Advisor for The Batchery, a Berkeley-based global incubator for seed stage startups, and the Business Development for Shipbird, a crowdsourcing technology company.
Malcolm Smith attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1985 to 1991. During this time, they earned a BA in Malcolm'story and Neurobiology, as well as a degree in Malcolm'story/Neurobiology.
