Joe Carr

Joe Carr's work experience includes a variety of roles in the software engineering and consulting fields. Joe began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at AKSYS, LTD, where they worked on prototyping and investigating software solutions for hemo-dialysis machines. Joe then moved on to Lucent Technologies, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer responsible for developing and supporting Remote Maintenance Board driver and application software.

After a few years at Lucent, Joe joined Encounter Collaborative as a Software Engineer, focusing on audio conferencing software and features. Joe worked on projects such as the development of the Green Room feature, which allowed customers to move the conference audience between music and presenters.

Joe then transitioned to a role at Wine.com as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on the Warehouse Management System Project. Joe utilized technologies such as Winform, Web-services, C#, SQL, and CodeSmith to develop and support the system.

Following their time at Wine.com, Joe worked as a Consultant at Invest.io and then as a Software Consultant at Shipjunction. Joe later co-founded ShipJunction, a cloud-based multi-carrier shipping solution, where they simplified the shipping process and improved fulfillment efficiency for clients.

Joe also had experiences at Overstat, Inc. and IBM Tealeaf, where they held Technical Lead and Senior Software Engineer positions, working on projects related to web analytics and integration of technologies.

Throughout their career, Joe has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including Javascript, C#, MS-SQL, Flash, and ASP.Net/C#. Joe'swork experience spans from 1995 to the present, showcasing a diverse range of skills and accomplishments.

Joe Carr attended Northwestern University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
