Brian Lin started their work experience as a Full Stack Developer at Shippabo in November 2015. In this role, they were responsible for coding front-end and back-end projects, while also serving as a liaison between the Product and Developer teams. Brian also played a role in formulating the foundation for UI behavioral tests for the QA/UAT team.
Prior to their time at Shippabo, Brian worked as a Jr. Javascript Developer at PK4 Media from July 2015 to September 2015. Here, they developed the Ad Creative Tool, a Chrome Extension designed to improve workflow by allowing users to easily drag and drop screen shots onto overlaid ads and replace existing video ads with a VAST tag URL.
Before their professional experiences, Brian attended Dev Bootcamp, a 19-week intensive training program for web developers. Brian worked as a Freelance Web Developer from April 2015 to July 2015 and completed an apprenticeship as a Web Developer at the bootcamp. Throughout the program, they gained expertise in various technologies, including Ruby, Rails, HTML5, CSS, Test Driven Development, Object Oriented Javascript (AJAX, JQuery), Git and Source Control, Heroku, and Agile Development.
Brian Lin completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego, attending from 2010 to 2014. Subsequently, in 2014 to 2015, they attended Dev Bootcamp where they focused on Web Development. In addition, Brian obtained the certification of Engineer-in-Training from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in February 2014.
