Manoj is an Information and Communications Technology Industry Visionary, with an illustrious career spanning over 4 decades. Till recently he was the President- Group Public Affairs and Member of the Group Exec. Board of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, one of India's Top Business Groups. In this role, he led Public Policy and Advocacy for the Federation of 150 Firms, engaging with all major sectors of the Economy. He has been an integral part of the pioneering effort that has helped catalyze the building of the Internet and Information Infrastructure of India. He also played a leading role in bringing together key building blocks of the technology infrastructure which serve as the bedrock that has enabled India as a Nation to leapfrog and leverage Digital Transformation for Public Good.

Manoj has managed and led many businesses to achieve pole position, across Technology & Services domains with both Indian and Global Majors. He is a well respected thought leader, who is known to leverage technology for greater societal good and help build long term sustainable businesses.

Manoj is credited with being the pioneer of Internet Revolution in India. Under his leadership, India witnessed the birth and creation of over 100,000 Networking Professionals. He has also been recognized as one of the top ten people to have shaped the last decade of the Indian IT Industry.

Starting his career with the Startups of yesteryears- HCL and Wipro with whom he worked for 15 years, he shifted gears to work with Global Product Technology Firms over the next two decades, which included Scientific Atlanta, Cisco Systems and EMC as their President for the India & SAARC Region and subsequently as the Regional President (Global Accounts) – Asia Pacific/Japan for EMC. He drove marquee initiatives that have served as the foundation of the modern IT Landscape including innovative citizen centric services. Manoj enabled the establishment of Cisco and EMC’s Global Development Centers in India through a Multi-Billion Dollar commitment. These were amongst the earliest such Engineering Centers to be established in India.

He later led the Enterprise Business (Satyam acquisition) of Tech Mahindra, for 6 years, as it’s Global President, where he was responsible for Enterprise business units across 70 Global Markets. He has served on Several Boards and has been closely associated with leading Industry Associations as a key voice.

Currently Manoj is engaged with a number of Advisory Boards and engages meaningfully with Academia, as a way of giving back.
