Ali Kassir

Ali Kassir is a highly experienced data scientist currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist II at Shipt since April 2022. Prior to this role, Ali held several key positions at iHerb, LLC from October 2017 to March 2022, including Lead Applied Scientist, where a research initiative with the University of Toronto was led, focusing on contemporary graph neural network techniques and multi-purpose customer embeddings. Additionally, Ali developed a financial forecasting model and a replacement recommendation system that significantly contributed to company revenue. Earlier experience includes roles as a Data Scientist and Graduate Researcher at UC Irvine, where Ali specialized in applied mathematical modeling and consumer credit risk. Ali possesses advanced degrees in Mathematics, culminating in a Ph.D. from UC Irvine.
