Jien Chen

Jien Chen currently serves as a Principal Data Scientist at Shipt, a position held since July 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Customer Data Scientist at Havas helia from October 2014 to July 2021, where advanced predictive modeling and automated recommendation engines were developed to enhance campaign performance. Jien Chen also worked as a Senior Data Scientist/Statistician at The Martin Agency, focusing on brand health drivers and media planning through analyses, and at IRI as an Analytics Consultant, leading key analytics projects and enhancing statistical methodologies. Earlier experience at the University of Georgia included the role of Associate Director of the Statistical Consulting Center, providing statistical consultation and supervision. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Statistics from the University of Georgia, and a BS & MS in Management Science from the University of Science and Technology of China. Jien Chen is also an alumnus of Stagen Leadership Academy, having completed the program in 2024.
