Robert Tomb

Robert Tomb is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Partner Tooling at Shipt, Robert focuses on building teams and tools for onboarding and managing retail partners. Previous roles include Senior Engineering Manager at Target, where Robert enhanced guest experience tools, and Sr. Director of Software Engineering at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where Robert facilitated cultural changes and developed data reporting software for advertisers. With a foundational career at ReachLocal in various engineering management positions, Robert contributed to customer-facing products and led software development efforts across distributed teams. Robert also held technical roles at TriMin Systems, Pedalr, Lawson Software, and several other organizations, along with teaching web development as an adjunct professor at Saint Paul College. Robert holds a BA in English from the University of Minnesota.
