Roy Smith

Roy Smith is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in identity, authentication, and infrastructure. Currently employed at Shipt since January 2025, Roy previously held a similar title at Veracode from January 2022 to January 2025, where notable contributions included the development of Java Spring Boot microservices and enhancing customer security through a custom role solution. Prior experience includes engineering roles at GE, where Roy designed a Java-based auditing system for SOC compliance and served as a key code reviewer. Early career experience includes a software engineering internship at GE focusing on authentication services and tutoring in mathematics at Northern Kentucky University.
