Gary Ta

Gary Ta is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at Shoal Group Pty Ltd since January 2021, Gary provides systems engineering support for client projects within the Shoal Defence Systems Engineering Team. Previously, Gary held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at NAVANTIA AUSTRALIA, contributing to key naval programs including the FFG(X) Frigate Program and the SEA 5000 Future Frigate Program. Prior experience includes roles as Lead Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer at ASC Shipbuilding, focusing on the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer Program, along with foundational positions such as Suspension Design Engineer in the University of Adelaide Racing Concepts team and Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer at Weir Strachan & Henshaw Australia. Gary holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide.
