Stephen Cook

Prof Stephen Cook is a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Shoal Group Pty Ltd and a part-time Professor of Defence Systems at the University of Adelaide. With over 25 years of experience teaching systems engineering and supervising higher degree research candidates, they have developed a strong reputation in systems engineering and defence communications. Previously, they held leadership roles at Defence Science and Technology Organisation and British Aerospace Australia Ltd, contributing to significant research and development projects in telecommunications and military communications. Prof Cook has also founded Creative Systems Engineering, providing consulting services for engineering management and systems integration. Their academic background includes a PhD from City University London and various engineering degrees from the University of South Australia.
