Edwin Huertas

Edwin Huertas is currently the CTO at Shockoe. Edwin has also served as a board member at Venture Forum RVA and an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Previously, Huertas worked as the Chief Technology Officer at TECHEAD. There, they were responsible for engineering and developing an Applicant Tracking System that reduced research and qualification time by 50% and increased the quality of submittals by 80%. Edwin also migrated old technologies and email systems to a cloud-based architecture, increasing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and services.

At TECHEAD, Huertas also estimated, managed, and delivered approximately 60 projects for various web and desktop applications for multiple local and national companies in different verticals. Edwin managed teams of local and remote developers in-office, around the US, and in Latin America.

Edwin Huertas' educational career includes studying computer software engineering at the University of Richmond - Robins School of Business and Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE. Edwin holds a certification in M-MBA from University of Richmond - Robins School of Business.
