Tom Slate

Tom Slate is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational excellence and project management within the legal and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Projects & Innovation at Shoosmiths since January 2024, Tom focuses on enhancing client and commercial value. Previously, Tom held various roles at Clifford Chance LLP, culminating as the Global Director of Service Transformation & Operational Excellence, where responsibilities included overseeing a £2bn revenue operational strategy. Significant achievements include pioneering Continuous Improvement projects as the first Continuous Improvement professional at Clifford Chance, and serving as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt at Singtel Optus, where Tom significantly improved customer service metrics. Educational qualifications include an Executive Management Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
