Since its founding in 2013, Shooter Detection Systems (SDS) has strived to provide our customers with the industry’s highest quality, most dependable gunshot detection solution. As the security industry’s leading provider of gunshot detection technology, SDS is focused on saving lives through the use of proven, military-grade technology designed by the world’s foremost scientists. Developed in conjunction with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and a major defense contractor, SDS’ gunshot detection systems are SAFETY Act Certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Approved for U.K. Government Use by the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), and SL4 Certified by the Australian Government’s Security Construction & Equipment Committee (SCEC). And while the industry, media and our customers have recognized our efforts, we realize that we can never rest on yesterday’s successes. SDS must always be innovating to save lives. To reinforce this ethos, SDS has pioneered the concept of “Active Shooter Intelligence™.”

Active Shooter Intelligence is an all-encompassing term that refers to our industry leading technology, our team’s advanced engineering capabilities, and most importantly, the highly reliable and privacy-conscious data delivered instantly to our customers. It is also SDS’ North star. From engineering, sales and operations support, every employee at SDS is focused on delivering Active Shooter Intelligence designed to help your employees, students and customers receive the timely and easily understandable information they need during a gun violence event.
