Joseph Chou

Joseph Chou has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Joseph started their career in 2005 as an MIS at Coast Patrol Directorate General. From 2006 to 2008, Joseph worked at Hyweb as an Engineer, where they studied 3D-secure protocol, enhanced cryptography API, and maintained MPI and ACS servers. In 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer on a piecework basis, collaborating with a visual designer and building a personal karaoke device. Also in 2008, Joseph joined Trend Micro as a Staff Engineer, specializing in server profiling, performance tweaking, and developing a private cloud service. In 2016, they joined HUAFU ALINKING TECH as an Architect, building microservices and continuous delivery tools using AWS and Docker. From 2017 to 2019, Joseph worked as a Software Engineer at Win Fun Capital, gaining experience in low-latency programming, Linux system tuning, and hardware accelerated networks. Currently, they are employed at ShopBack as a Platform Engineer.

Joseph Chou received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, which they attended from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at National Chin-Yi University of Technology from 2000 to 2002, although they did not obtain a degree in this field. In terms of additional certifications, Joseph Chou became a Certified ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance in 2013. Joseph also obtained the RHCE Enterprise Linux 6 certification from Red Hat in August 2011 and the SCJP SE 5 certification from Sun Microsystems in August 2006.
