Zarni Wang

Zarni Wang has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. In 2015, they worked with Global TIES, UCSD as a Lead Frontend Developer, collaborating with the Shiley Eye Institute's EyeMobile team to design and deliver a digital vision screening solution. Zarni utilized OpenCV for feature detection and JavaFX for building the user interface.

In 2015, Zarni also worked on an extracurricular project called iSeeInk as an Android Developer. Zarni developed a mobile vision screening tool that incorporated SQL database for saving and viewing test results, as well as integrated Google APIs for networking and GPS capabilities. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Android Developer on the Malingering Android Application, which aimed to detect insurance fraud. Zarni collaborated with an iOS developer and implemented Material design standards.

From 2017 to 2018, Zarni had a Software Developer Internship at Business Data Management LLC., where they worked on various tasks such as front-end optimization, setup and maintenance of AWS components, and migration of production server and database into a secure private subnet.

Zarni then joined Hyve Solutions in 2018 as a System Engineer and progressed to the roles of Systems Engineer II and System Engineering Manager. In these positions, they managed system engineering activities, including designing and implementing software and hardware solutions.

Currently, Zarni Wang is working as a Software Engineer at ShopBack, starting in September 2022.

Zarni Wang attended UC San Diego from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
