David Wiener

David Wiener has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David is currently working as a Programmer Analyst at ShopBot Tools, Inc, where they are responsible for coding, maintenance, documentation, and administration of the company's public-facing web presence. David has significantly expanded the system admin options, upgraded the infrastructure, and migrated to a larger and modern server environment.

Prior to this, David was the Co-Founder, President, CTO, and System Architect at DaVinci Education from 2012 to 2020. David built and led a team to develop a cloud-based enterprise curriculum management system for medical education called LEO. David also oversaw the integration of technology with service, support, and sales departments.

Before that, David worked at Duke University School of Medicine as a Senior Analyst from 2005 to 2012. David led a team to build BlueDocs, a custom curriculum management system for medical education that met the specific needs of Duke School of Medicine and the AAMC requirements. David successfully implemented the system at Duke, KCMC School of Medicine in Tanzania, and Duke/NUS School of Medicine in Singapore.

From 1999 to 2005, David worked as an independent consultant at Solutions Consulting, specializing in systems and technology. David provided strategic consulting and implemented custom software, infrastructure, email, and web services for clients in education, manufacturing, and services.

Prior to that, David served as the IT Manager at Canter and Associates from 1995 to 1999. David led a team of programmers and technicians, maintained legacy systems, implemented a CRM application, and integrated it with the sales and distribution system. David also created and implemented enterprise systems, integrated call center technology with web services, and supported senior management strategies.

Before joining Canter and Associates, David worked as an IT Manager at Marfred Industries from 1993 to 1995. David oversaw a programming team, coordinated with vendors, maintained enterprise software systems, managed networks, and advised senior management on technology issues.

David started their career as a Programmer at Wet Seal Contempo Casuals from 1989 to 1993. David worked on various systems, including accounting, warehouse distribution, and manufacturing. David also created a customized email system for a purchasing group in Hong Kong.

David Wiener attended UCLA from 1980 to 1982, where they studied Political Science. Following this, they enrolled at Santa Monica College from 1988 to 1990, focusing on Computer Science. No degree was specified for either education period.
