Clarence Phay possesses a diverse professional background with experience in both military and corporate environments. Clarence served as a Detachment Sergeant in the Special Reconnaissance Team of the 1st Commando Battalion within the Singapore Armed Forces from January 2017 to November 2018. Following military service, Clarence transitioned to the technology sector as a Technology Evangelist for NCS Group from July 2022 to June 2023. Subsequently, Clarence joined Singtel, initially as a Management Associate and later as a Business Analytics and Planning Manager from July 2023 to September 2024. Currently, Clarence is contributing to Shopee's COO's Office in Regional Commercial Strategy since September 2024. Academically, Clarence holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University, completed in 2022, and a High School Diploma with Distinction in Mathematics from NUS High School of Mathematics & Science, earned in 2016.
