Joe Tan

Joe Tan has a decade of experience in strategy development, product management, and operations, with a background that includes managing a team of 50 at the National Fire Prevention Agency and serving in roles at prestigious firms like McKinsey & Company and the Boston Consulting Group. Currently, Joe leads the Payment Operations department at Shopee, overseeing over 100 team members. Joe holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and is pursuing a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University. Previously, Joe contributed to product management at Amazon and played pivotal roles in both technical and managerial capacities at startups and established companies alike.
