Kyle Barney

Kyle Barney has accumulated a solid work experience in the field of web development. Kyle recently joined ShopHero Inc as a Principal Developer, where they played a key role in architecting and developing an eCommerce platform integrated with Dot Foods. Prior to this, Kyle worked at ConexED as a Senior Developer, where they built a new student case management product and performed a user interface redesign for a system serving major clients such as the University of Pennsylvania and Brigham Young University. Before that, they worked at Malouf as a Senior Software Engineer, automating key accounts receivable functions and developing DevOps infrastructure. As a Lead Developer at THG Ingenuity, Kyle successfully rescued a behind-schedule project, managed a team of developers, and conducted code reviews. Kyle also worked as a Full-Stack Web Developer at THG Ingenuity, where they refactored a PHP codebase to Laravel framework and implemented automated tests. Additionally, Kyle co-founded and served as CEO of BeneGov, where they built web applications for municipalities and created a reliable infrastructure on AWS. Kyle'swork experience also includes a position as a Management Analyst at Utah Governor's Office of Management and Budget, where they led IT redesign projects and developed an interim IT system.

Kyle Barney completed their education in a chronological manner. Kyle obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Development from Western Governors University in 2019. Before that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University in 2013. Prior to their master's degree, Kyle earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2012.

In addition to their degrees, Kyle also holds several certifications. In 2019, they became an Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate. In 2018, they received certifications in CIW User Interface Designer, ITIL Foundation Certification, Project+, Advanced HTML5 & CSS3 Specialist, Site Development Associate, and A+.
