Amit Moran

Amit Moran is a seasoned professional in data science and machine learning with extensive experience leading innovative teams and initiatives across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Data and ML Engineering Manager for Risk and Fraud at Shopify since August 2025, Amit previously held the position of VP Data and Machine Learning at Bluevine, where a transformative ML organization was developed to enhance financial services for small businesses. Amit also contributed significantly to Oracle as Senior Director of Data Science and Engineering, spearheading ad fraud detection advancements, and was the Chief Data Scientist at Crosswise Ltd., pioneering methodologies in cross-device identity resolution. Earlier roles included algorithm development at Sears Israel, AOL Relegence, and Applied Materials, complemented by an academic background that includes an M.Sc. in Physics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and an MBA in Technology Management.
