Ben McConaghy

Ben McConaghy is an experienced communications professional currently serving as Director of External Communications at Shopify since January 2022, including a role focused on the APAC region. Prior to this, Ben held leadership positions at Meta as Director of Policy Communications for APAC and Head of Policy Communications for Australia & New Zealand. Ben's career also includes significant roles at Herd MSL as Group Account Director and Head of Corporate Communication, and at BBS Communications Group as Senior Account Director in Public Affairs. Additional experience encompasses positions at SunWater and Energex, along with early experience as cabin crew with Emirates Airline. Ben holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Southern Queensland and a Senior High School Certificate from St Joseph's College, Gregory Terrace.
