Colin Gray

Colin Gray is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and management. Currently serving as Principal Engineer and Head of Mobile at Shopify since July 2020, Colin collaborates with Mustafa Ali to develop advanced mobile tools for merchants and consumers. As Co-Founder and Board Advisor of The Gray Dot Company, established in January 2017, Colin focuses on SEO and digital marketing as a silent partner. Previously, Colin held the positions of CTO and Interim CTO at Talenthouse from March 2018 to July 2020, overseeing technology operations across multiple platforms, including Ello, where Colin served as CTO from February 2015 to July 2020. Earlier roles include Community Manager at HipByte, where Colin fostered the RubyMotion community. Colin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Japanese from Oberlin College.
