Jared Rader

Jared Rader is a highly experienced software engineer and manager, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Engineering Manager at Shopify since April 2019, focusing on the Messaging: Start team to enhance merchant communication through tools like Shopify Inbox. Previously, Jared held senior engineering roles at Reflektive, where contributions included a feature rollout tool and optimizations for product performance, as well as software engineering at Bloc, Inc., where key achievements involved building numerous features and improving application performance. Earlier experience includes mentoring aspiring engineers at Dev Bootcamp and developing full-stack applications at The DevShop, alongside entrepreneurial efforts as CEO of LittleFish, a social media analytics tool. Educational qualifications include Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Chinese from the University of Oklahoma, supplemented with coding bootcamp training and international study.
