Joe Chop

Joe Chop is a Production Engineering Manager (SRE) at Shopify, a position held since 2022. Previously, they served as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Shopify from 2020 to 2022 and as a Software Engineer Lead at Forever Oceans from 2014 to 2017. Joe began their career at Guam Power Authority as a Strategic Planning and Operations Research Intern in 2006 and later grew as a Full Stack Engineer at Prominent Edge from 2017 to 2020. Joe holds both a BS and MS in Computer Engineering from Villanova University, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Their earlier experience includes completing an Engineering Leadership Development Program at Lockheed Martin between 2010 and 2013.
