Jonathan Harlap

Jonathan Harlap is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Shopify since May 2022, Jonathan has previously held multiple senior roles at ecobee, including Senior Engineering Director and Technology Director, from January 2019 to May 2022. Prior to ecobee, Jonathan contributed to Wattpad as Director Of Technology and Principal Engineer. Jonathan co-founded Handprint Corporation and served as the Data & Engineering Lead from March 2010 to May 2015, and also held the role of Consulting Engineering Lead at Prodema. Additionally, Jonathan co-founded Sinfoma as Product & Engineering Lead and worked as a Software Architect at McConnell Brain Imaging Centre, McGill University. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Concordia University.
