Jonathan Heard

Jonathan Heard has extensive experience in leadership, culture management, and international security project oversight. Currently serving as Sr Lead for Learning at Shopify since April 2014, Jonathan has held various roles including Leadership Support Program Manager and Culture Program Manager, developing onboarding processes and facilitating company-wide cultural initiatives. Prior to Shopify, Jonathan worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2014, where responsibilities included managing and monitoring anti-crime capacity building projects in the Caribbean and overseeing nuclear security initiatives with Russia. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance Trumpet from Carleton University.
