Kate Studwell

Kate Studwell is currently a Staff Software Engineer at Shopify, where they work on initiatives within the Developer Experience organization to enhance the daily lives of engineers. Previously, they held positions at GitHub as a Staff Software Engineer and Technical Advisor, and also worked as a Software Engineering Manager at Automated Insights. Kate has a rich background in project and product management, leading web and application development projects while also having hands-on engineering experience with technologies such as Ruby, Rails, Go, and TypeScript. They earned a Ruby on Rails Developer Certification from The Iron Yard and a BA in Linguistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
